#Bill14 & #Bill15 are #undemocratic bills that #BCNDP is shoving through. This #BCgovernment, under greasy #JohnHorgan groomed super sellout, former civil liberties lawyer guy, #DavidEby - is breaking its own law under the Declaration of the Rights of #IndigenousPeoples.

This type of #neoliberalism is right in line with #BillC5 from #GovernmentOfCanada under #MarkCarney federal Liberals(Conservatives, basically). They take actions which are against the publics' interests. They serve corporations over people & environment. They are always greenwashing & whitewashing, while helping with ecocidal corporate plundering & endangering our liveable futures.

These corrupted, corporate lobbyist pandering governments don't really give a damn about #IndigenousCommunities - they still want to exploit lands & steal resources without prior consultation or consent.

In British Columbia, it's the PRGT pipeline and Ksi Lisims LNG, backed by 'Wall Street companies deeply embedded in Trump’s inner circle', that stand to benefit from Eby's #Bill14 & #Bill15.

@SonofaGeorge

I have not seen what is in Bill 14, so I cannot comment, but I assume it is written in the same language.

When government has a clear and obvious solution to an issue they choose to highlight, yet they do anything but that clear and obvious solution, there is probably a reason. Usually what they are doing instead of doing the right thing is the reason.

In 2003, the BC Liberals passed a law that let it fast-track “significant projects” and bypass the normal approval process.

The NDP of 2003 had strong feelings about the legislation. But it has much in common with today’s #Bill15, introduced by the NDP itself. Zoë Yunker reports.
