Biked with cargo trailer to pick up an old junky free monitor to use as a display for my signal level meter. The trailer worked fine, and it’s the furthest I’ve gone with it so far. So, yay!

(And it’s very old and junky and this rare single-purpose use kept it out of recycling, nobody else wanted it. Everybody wins. ^_^ )

tonight is 100% one of those "I absolutely know I have this slab of aluminium. I can't remember it but I have its counterpart and I know the other part has to exist. I just have absolutely no idea where" nights.

in other news, I fixed my bike cargo basket - the open-top black wire one, not the plastic bin with a lid that locks - after the rear attachment broke on me the other day. What I REALLY want and need to do is update its modular mounting hardware to use the metal slab system I used with the bin, it's so much better and more stable and the metal fatigue in the basket mesh won't matter anymore. BUT GUESS WHAT

1 year, about 900km with the Decathlon cargo bike - my now primary transport in town (Kids taxi, shopping).
Kids love it, big Euro-Box makes shopping ridiculously fast (box in cart - shopping - at counter stuff directly into the box, box on bike), great handling, much better than Long-Johns - For an acceptable price.
