Good morning you lovely lot 💕 I'm up early with the parrots today and have just finished cleaning and feeding them and am now having a wee cuddle with Ziggy, who was running her beak over the bars like a prisoner with a tin cup earlier and yelling "Iff!" Not sure what that means, but when I lifted the cover I was showered with kissing noises, so it seems she was pleased to see me ☺️

We had a strange day yesterday. Grant found a bat lying on our front step and we phoned the Bat Conservation Trust, who were lovely, instructed us how to contain it and put us in touch with a local volunteer, John, a really lovely man, who came out when I sent him a photo of the wee thing as he said he didn't like the look of its wing. He was clearly a bat expert, immediately identifying it as an older Soprano Pipistrelle female and handling it with ease. Unfortunately he said the wing was broken and it would have to be euthanised, but he would take it away. We got talking about our bat roost and he asked if we would mind doing a bat count in June. So now I have a bat detector, one of his, which he left with me. Then, after all that, Grant got a call from his uncle in Aberdeen who apparently had found a baby bird in his garden and wanted advice in what to do with it! Strange day indeed.

It's co-op BG3 day today and I think my grandson will be joining us, which is always such fun. We'll have to figure out how to get Grant's Paladin out of the cupboard though. Last time we took him with us, but then started to get cut scenes with dialogue choices I didn't want to make for Grant while he wasn't around so I left his character at camp and he ended up in this weird iron maiden looking cupboard. Hopefully we can rescue him from it today ☺️
