Good morning Fellow Travellers on Spaceship Earth 🌍 I'm up early with the parrots again today and am having a quick wee cuddle with Ziggy before the last day of work for this week 🙌 She had a wee burst of energy, throwing all the toys I had just picked up back on to the floor again, but is now happily curled up in my hand grumbling away and half snoozing 😊

Apparently my right hand is acceptable for head stroking today; yesterday morning if the offending appendage came anywhere near Madame it was attacked viciously. It was my left hand that was the offender a couple of weeks ago, no idea why - parrots eh?🤷🏻‍♀️

I'll be running another custom toy competition soon as it's been a wee while since the last one, and why not? 😁 Keep an eye out for an announcement on that over the weekend.

Right. Ziggy is digging her way to China again, so I'd better distract her and get her settled so I can start work.

Good morning you lovely lot 💕 I'm up early with the parrots today and have just persuaded Ziggy to take her meds by doing the old "pretending to eat off the spoon with great gusto" routine. Parrots can't resist it. They have to have a taste of what you are making such a fuss about 😊

She's now cuddled up in my hand, but I'm going to have to persuade her in to her cage soon so I can get to work. We're still dealing with the fallout from the aborted deployment last week. Dealing with hardware suppliers these days is a nightmare of automated tickets and different departments so we're trying to navigate that. I've been using my Big Trousers voice a lot 😂

Right! Best get Ziggy settled although I think I might be in for a fight with her too 🥴

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots today and just having a wee cuddle with Ziggy after playing parrot football, which involves me putting the ball on the footstool, Ziggy running and knocking it off with her beak and then cheerfully yelling "Good bird!", totally pleased with herself 😊 I usually tire of finding the ball and putting it back before she does of dashing around and propelling it halfway around the room.

She's now curled up in my hand grumbling away to herself with contentment, one wee foot up at her face. In a moment the sound of Toby's munching will compel her to start asking to go in for her own breakfast, but for now she's content to stay put.

Grant managed very well with Jadie last night. He was definitely a lot warier of her, but I was worried he might be so scared of her coming near him after the eye attack that it would ruin their relationship and that would have been very sad. But he did well and I have no doubt they'll be cuddled up snoozing on the couch together again before long 😊

Plans for today are Parrot Kitchen and Sunday chores. Maybe some crochet if I have the time. I'm working on a new idea. Not really sure it will work yet and I had to abandon the first attempt, but I really enjoy just playing around with an idea even if it doesn't come to fruition so it's all good fun ☺️

Sherbert and I were in deep conversation earlier when all of a sudden, she squawked her 'word' for 'come and get me'. I held my finger out and she actually stepped up! She preened the top of my head while I cleaned her cage and she talked the whole time 😊 I'm so happy she was in a great mood! Love my girl! 🦜 😍 🥰 💜 💛 💚

Good morning everyone 🌄 I'm up early with the parrots today and it's a lot cooler this morning thank goodness! Ziggy is currently giving me a thorough preen after attacking my ears just a moment ago because I dared to talk to Jadie 🤷🏻‍♀️

Speaking of Jadie, we are off to Specsavers first thing, because when Grant was trying to get Jadie off the top of her cage last night he put his face too close, she lunged at him and bit him in the eye! 😱

Typical Grant, he refused to go to A & E, but I managed to persuade him to go to the chemist just before closing (why do these things always happen when places are closed or closing?) who directed him to Specsavers. He managed to phone them and they got him in for an early appointment. We'll see what they say. He says he can see fine, but his eyeball is all bloody.

Parrots and hormones. A lethal combination at this time of year 🥴

We did have a co-op BG3 day planned, but whether we do that will depend on what happens this morning.

Good morning everyone 🌞 I hope you are all well and not too hot if in Europe or the UK. I couldn't post yesterday as it was a full on day, nearly 10 straight hours and unfortunately we had to rollback the big infrastructure task after all the weeks of preparation for it as we couldn't get the new firewalls to play nice 🥴 Vendor is now reviewing the logs.

It was hot for sleeping too, but I was so exhausted after the day I didn't have a problem with that. Now I am up early with the parrots, who I didn't get to see all day yesterday, so there was great excitement when I lifted their covers this morning, with Ziggy blowing me kisses and Jadie gabbling away ten to the dozen 😊 Toby didn't have anything to say, but he did come down when I was cleaning his cage and headbutted the bars in front of me, which is a typical Toby greeting - Very ouch if the thing being headbutted is your nose 😂

Plans for today are not much as I need to recover a bit. We're hoping to get the parrots outside for some much needed sunshine so I might just sit in the shade and read a book for a change.
