Good morning everyone 🌻 Chilly old Saturday today with the temps indicating -1 C this morning. The house is lovely and cosy though, so no complaints. I'm up early with the parrots and having a nice wee cuddle with Ziggy, who has finally settled down after another ghost watching session. Whatever it is that sets her off I really can't tell, but there's definitely something that disturbs her as the growling can attest to. Who knew parrots growl when feeling threatened? 😊
Our car broke down yesterday and is now in the local garage for repairs that are tracking well above a grand already 🥴 Seems to be the year for vehicle failures after just helping my daughter to pay for her clapped out turbo thing. There's no cheap fixes anymore either. Everything is electrical and complicated. Anyway, we are careless until at least Monday.
Coop BG3 day today, but it may turn into a single player day for me depending on whether my grandson wants to play this week or not as Grant fired up Skyrim yesterday for the first time in ages and now fancies playing that instead today. I told him to play the Anniversary Edition as he's never tried that before.
Ziggy is currently preening my face as you can see. I don't know why it suddenly requires her attention, but she is very determined to spruce me up. I have to keep my mouth tightly shut as she does this to ensure she doesn't go into it as the human mouth is a breeding ground for nasty bacteria. It's why you should never kiss your parrot on the beak either. I see people posting videos of their parrots eating food out of their mouths and it gives me the chills!
Righty-ho, my face now well and truly preened I should attempt to get Zigs to take her meds.😁

Good morning everyone ☀️ Another long lie for me, rudely interrupted when Grant left to go birding and the parrots raised the roof 🥴 I'm now sitting with them and they have all calmed down, bar Toby who is still squawking at me and I am going to have to leave the room in a minute if he carries on as my ears are already bleeding - honestly, how can such a pretty looking bird have such a terrible squawk!
Plans for today are to do some gaming as I was too tired yesterday after we got back from lunch. It was a good lunch though and nice just to spend time with my daughter and Mike. He used to rescue big snakes and is very passionate about them 🙂
First coffee though. Lots of it!

Good morning everyone 🌞 Busy old work day today as we have a big deployment and it's kicking off early so I'm just having a quick Ziggy cuddle before it all begins.
After I lifted their covers this morning and came back from fetching fresh water, I found Jadie and Ziggy making their laughing noises at one another, which made me laugh and then we were all giggling away, apart from Toby, who just looked on confused and moaned at me for his breakfast 😊 He has this very plaintive moan, like an orphan child who hasn't been fed for weeks. Anyone hearing it would reckon I am a cruel, cruel parront who feeds the poor boy only scraps, it's that pathetic. And he will keep it up until breakfast is produced let me tell you 😁
Right, Ziggy has just finished her meds-mash mix, which she informed me was "Good!" (we aim to please) so I will get her settled and jump into prep for this deployment.

This “traumatized” grey chicken just spent three minutes screaming his head off because we had to file his nails today. So glad the windows are open so our neighbors could hear it too. 🙄
Good morning you lovely lot 💕 It's Tuesday, probably the most hectic day of my work week, so I've just had a quick cuddle with Ziggy before jumping in feet first. She's now munching away happily, having taken her medication like a pro. Jadie and Toby are also eating breakfast - Jadie hanging upside down like a bat again, apparently having already forgotten she can stand on the rope perch next to her bowl or maybe just choosing not to. Parrots - who knows?🤷🏻♀️
Right. Best get to it.
