The Indian Pacific Wheel Ride kicks off tomorrow, an ultra endurance "not a race" from Freo to the Opera House. 5471 km of self supported suffering on a bike! I'll be watching the dots, and cheering for my mate Paul, riding as "Baz"!

The ride kicks off at 6.22 am, to honour the late Mike Hall, who died after being hit by a car during the inaugural event back in 2017.

I’ve defended the #BBC, but this is a case study in how it gets it wrong through misguided attempts at balance/impartiality, along with some underlying prejudices.
The first example is a #transphobic mother concerned about school accepting a 16yo’s pronouns.
It should not be given this prominence. Imagine an article in these terms if a 16yo had come out as gay at school.
Contrast “Mike”, who respects and supports his #trans 12yo kid. #BeMoreMike
