Mission accomplished.
Speaking of ice skating, thanks to the combination of climate change and being in my mid forties, I had thoughts like "I better go skating on Lake Balaton now as I might only have 2-3 chances at most in the rest of my life.
It has thick enough ice once in about every 10 years that's safe for skating or walking nowadays (and likely getting worse unless the Atlantic current collapses earlier than predicted, in which case we will have a lot of ice skating...)
Flying over Hungary’s volcanic inselbergs north of Lake Balaton - formed 4-7M years ago as the Pannonian Sea retreated. Erosion shaped these hills after volcanic activity ceased 3M years ago. Approaching in a Zenith CH701 STOL (short take-off and landing) aircraft, enjoying my flight simulator’s realistic November weather. One of my favorite landscapes both in real life and in the sim.
