You should avoid having any closed source software, and also avoid having any Chromium-based programs or browsers installed (such as Google Chrome, Google Chromium, Vivaldi, Opera, Brave, Microsoft Edge, React, etc) outside of a locked down virtual machine, as not all open source software is safe for this. There is a level of privacy and safety needed. If partially closed source software (such as Firefox, a few of its components out of its control are closed source) can't be avoided, choose the software with the least closed source components, and go for trust (Firefox is falling out here, I will need to replace with Waterfox, or another browser soon)
