The K-Pop group IVE are managed by bunch of asses.
They sold CDs, with (non) full quality songs on them. I can tell because a disc that ought to be 30-50mb ish per song (flac), is 50mb in total
Seriously, I don't have the geek-level of @TechTangents ...
But #archiving #LaserDisc is a honorable goal!

John Griffith London, better known as Jack London, was an American novelist, journalist and activist. A pioneer of commercial fiction and American magazines, he was one of the first American authors to become an international celebrity and earn a large fortune from writing. He was also an innovator in the genre that would later become known as science fiction. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_London

Another one in the bag:

We backed up Spotify (metadata and music files). It’s distributed in bulk torrents (~300TB). It’s the world’s first “preservation archive” for music which is fully open (meaning it can easily be mirrored by anyone with enough disk space), with 86 million music files, representing around 99.6% of listens.

Question to all the #photo / #Image capture / #Archival crew out there:
Whats the recommended way of getting good digitisations from old photo albums?
I have been given a number of photo albums (some of them quite old) which can't be folded flat in to a scanner (specifically the scanner in a multifunction printer).
I've looked at some "Scanner Pens" and considered hanging the photo album off the side of the scanner while copying - neither of these feels like the right solution.
