Even if your threat model is just "getting mugged on the street", what prevents a robber to forcibly authenticate someone and force them to unbind said device from any accounts?

- That's right, the latter one will still require a password!

NEVER use #biometric or 2FA as a security in that regard, because both are trivial to intercept or forge...

Here's a question for our internet savvy communities. I just encountered a subscription based newsletter that required my email address. It also asked for me to press and hold my fingerprint on a tab to "prove I was not a bot". Can this type of software feature on a website record my fingerprint and make it available to others?
