Eighteen may be a lucky number in the Cantonese culture but it’s not an anniversary you typically remember, so Autocade’s passed earlier this month without fanfare. March 8, 2008 was when the first entries went up. The oldest I can trace on the Wayback Machine and on the site itself is the Renault Mégane II’s,

Reaching 5,600 models on Autocade; Yema completed—a sign of consolidation
With the Yema Spica, we’ve reached 5,600 models on Autocade. The EC30 EV version of the Chinese MPV was number 5,601. Again, it’s not the most glamorous or desirable model for the milestone, but it deserves a spot as much as any saloon or supercar. This also completes the Yema-branded cars for
Chosen because this is typical, not because I want to prove something. These are the sampled logs of traffic to #Autocade. On any given page, we have two legitimate entries, and the rest are illegitimate bots (“#AI” scrapers and hackers).

Wrote fewer features and books compared with 2024, but I did finish the new #Autocade Year of Cars annual a few weeks earlier. So the Christmas lead-up was less stressful. Like so many things, you have to make the time, and I found it a little harder to find it in 2025.
The price of having ethics. I could probably get the email addresses of everyone who ordered #Autocade annuals in previous years and inform them that the latest is out. However, only a handful registered as users; most people shopped without signing up. If we were some awful US tech firm, that wouldn’t matter. As we’re not, I could only legitimately contact a small percentage of our customers. If anyone wants to help me spread the word …
