What the Heck Is Going On Between JLR and Gerry McGovern

On December 2, reports circulated that JLR had fired its design chief, Gerry McGovern. The company now says that was untrue—but why did it take two weeks?

Jack Yan thinks he knows the type of buyer for the #Kia Tasman, the company’s first civilian pick-up truck: someone who’s not afraid of their inner machismo

Overnight #stats: 11,000 page views exactly over the last 24 hours. Weʼve had no “#AI#theftbot skewing the stats. No humans faced a challenge page, only dodgy bots, which all failed to get past it. So a good 24 hours for a change.

“As well as its distinctive ultra-compact size, the #2 will retain the fortwo’s two-door, two-seat configuration, real-wheel drive dynamics and signature wheels-at-the-corners stance. This DNA, however, is just the starting point for the complete reinvention of smart’s city two-seater.”

Okay I'm officially in the market for a simple point and shoot digital camera. I'm thinking of the ones we had in the mid 2000s or so, when they were nice and sleek and pocketable.

Most of my ~serious~ photography these days is done on film, and I do have an old Canon if I want to do ~serious~ digital photography (it's got a shitty lens though). But most days I reach for my camera phone to get a shot and I'm starting to get frustrated with the limitations.

Especially in terms of color capture! I made my girlfriend this crochet strawberry bag and my android camera will. not. accurately capture the red of the yarn and it's driving me batty. It's not this much of a cherry red, it's darker. And I'm planning on selling crochet stuff next year and this shade of red will be in heavy rotation so yeah I gotta figure something out.

JUST IN: The 61-year-old retired Tennessee cop who spent 37 days in jail over an anti-Trump Facebook meme has filed a federal First Amendment lawsuit against the authorities who ordered his arrest.

"In America, we do not jail people for political speech."

A retired policeman was jailed over an anti-Trump meme. Now he’s suing.

Attorneys for 61-year-old Larry Bushart say a Tennessee sheriff violated the First Amendment: “In America, we do not jail people for political speech.”

Ok y’all, get your red string, your crazy hair and a cigarette, for I am delving deep into conspiracy land.

What if the "ballroom” isn’t a #ballroom? What if it’s a bunkered data center for mining #crypto? I know it sounds crazy, but stay with me.

The dimensions of the underground plans exactly match those underground data bunkers built in Jerusalem, the new architect is the architect of the bunkers, the new contractors are contractors who specialize in data centers, and the $400 million new price tag is just 50 million more than the Jerusalem bunkers. The utility companies have asked for a massive increase in water and power for the White House. All the money is coming from #AI companies.

I’m just sayin. Also, I’m not suicidal, for the record. Now, who wants to see some cites in follow up?

Trump Admits Ballroom Is Already Massively Over Budget

The president nonchalantly added another $100 million even as he urges parents to cut back on toys for their kids amid soaring prices.
