Is the #AucklandTransport website down? I’m trying to pay a fine but trying to load the page results in an infinite number of 302 Found responses.
Apparently there’s no status page and with X being unusable and #facebook trying to force me to login, there’s no way of finding out what’s going on or if anyone is aware of it.

"From Sunday, a price cap means Auckland Transport users will be charged a maximum $50 a week, regardless of how often they use services... Public Transport Users' Association's national coordinator Jon Reeves applauded the move. He said it should be rolled out in other cities, including Wellington and Christchurch."

On this day in 2017, I was in Pukekohe on New Zealand's North Island.
Pukekohe is a town, south of Auckland on the North Island Main Trunk line. At the time, Pukekohe station was served by a diesel shuttle service using ADL/ADC railcars operating to Papakura (the southern terminus of Auckland's suburban electric trains).
The ADL/ADC railcars were built in Newcastle , New South Wales, for use in Perth (Western Australia) on their suburban network. They entered service in 1982 and when Perth's rail network was electrified in 1993, they were sold to the operator of Auckland's suburban network. In 2014, Auckland electrified their suburban rail network and a small number of ADL/ADC sets were retained to operate the Papakura - Pukekohe shuttle.
In August 2022, passenger services to Pukekohe were suspended and ADL/ADC sets were retired. The line is currently being electrified, and is anticipated to reopen in late 2024.

@rnzbot_political I am just this minute writing a letter to Simeon Brown and Wayne Brown advising them that Jordan Williams and the so-called Auckland Ratepayers Alliance astroturf group do not speak for me, and that I want more walking, cycling, and public transport, not more roads and more cars which I suspect is their aim.
A car has driven through the chainlink fence at the back of Mt Albert Pak n Save, and down the bank next to the railway. That explains the noise I heard earlier which I attributed to kids smashing trolleys. Trains seem to be moving in both directions, but the city-bound train was stopped for several minutes (which is what drew my attention) and the west-bound train moved past very slowly. Police, ambulance, and tow truck are onsite and I can hear a winch.
