Woot! My #python #atari8 800XL emulator is working pretty darn well now!
Don't get me wrong, it's still pokey, but it's gone from totally unusable watch characters render like molasses slow to "I am typing on a 1200 baud model connection" slow :)
The various graphics modes seem to work with light testing and I've written and run various BASIC programs.

From July 31st to August 3rd, the 25th Silly Venture took place! I cranked out a few 256-byte intros for the Atari XL/XE, and *life after life* ranked 7th in the 256b intro compo.
