Wer Apple OS Geräte nutzt und in „unfreundliche“ Länder reisen möchte, schaut mal hier.
Ja ich weiß, beides ist aktuell möglicherweise fragwürdig und gehört auf den Prüfstand.

Blur is the new bold: Here's how users really feel about Android 17's frosted updates

Per leaked images, Android 17 blur effects could be here to stay. But how do Android Authority readers feel about it? Survey results are in!

Android Authority

@cdfinder @marioguzman Why did unify the title bar and toolbar in the first place? It's not like modern computers lack screen real estate.

Same weird thinking in the current System Settings app: Computer screens (with very few exceptions) have landscape orientation. Why apply a portrait-optimized design to this application, then? And even disallow resizing?

So many things in #AppleOS 26 are not just minor differences in opinion; they simply are violations of fundamental IxD principles.

#Apple have patched two serious security flaws and the fixes will not be backported to iOS18. The only exception is if your device is too old to run iOS 26, only then will they let you install a patched version of iOS 18. This is clearly an attempt to force people to upgrade to 26 because users hate the liquid glass interface and have been reluctant to upgrade. It is abusive behaviour by Apple and I will not forgive them for it. In the meantime, upgrade your phone. 🤬 https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdoffman/2026/01/11/apple-confirms-iphone-attacks-no-fix-for-most-users/

“iOS 26.4 is shaping up to be a surprisingly ambitious mid-cycle update, and Apple is clearly laying groundwork for much bigger changes in iOS 27 and iOS 28. As development continues, we expect even more clues to surface, and we’ll keep digging.”

This is a really difficult one to explain. It's philisophical, dark, and very odd. But if all of those sound like good things to you — as they do me — then do check this out!

There are a disturbing number of co-incidences in it to my life in the last decade (no, I'm not a racoon, but I do live in Vancouver, have always been a photographer, have always loved noire and jazz, and was a publisher whose house released two mystery/noir novels with anthropomorphic animals), so it's like this was built specifically for me!

@mysterycoconut That problem, sadly, is nothing new: The Control Center on #macOS and #iOS has been a testament of awful #IxD for years now. Just about zero visual clues as to whether something works like a simple button, has a menu attached to it, or does some other interaction trickery. IMHO, that Control Center has been Apple's #UX omen for the mess we witness in #AppleOS 26 now.
