I don’t want to read or engage with AI things because I just think human-made things are better, full stop. I like seeing the little flaws in the stitching because it reminds me it was made with human hands.

A friend asked me today "wait, what's the ethical issue you have with LLMs?" and hoo boy is there no way to concisely provide that info without sounding like a raging conspiracy theorist. It's all pretty well documented and supported by fact, it just sure sounds like it shouldn't be! If that were true wouldn't everyone know it and also be horrified instead of enamored with these cool new toys?? Wouldn't it!??

I don't care if some readers "aren't bothered." If books that left ChatGPT prompts inside are getting 5⭐️ reviews. If AI images become indistinguishable from human-made art. If "it's the future so get in or fall behind."
