I have always had a deep affection for America despite not being American. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I was immersed in American culture through movies, TV shows, music and video games. These experiences left a lasting impression on me and I've always felt a strong connection to that country. Over the years I've had the pleasure of visiting the United States numerous times, forging friendships with many wonderful Americans so its been heart-wrenching to witness from afar the deterioration of this once great nation, the land of free. The past several years have been marked by unrest, racism and fascism, and has been a truly painful spectacle to observe. In response to the distressing events unfolding in America, I did the only thing I knew how to do - I channelled all my emotions into music. This album is a reflection of my feelings about the once-great nation. While it may not change much, I needed to express my anguish and share it with the world. I want to thank you for listening to this music. Please play these songs loud for everyone to hear and let's all hope that America can overcome this tumultuous time.
