Anguis colchica, the eastern slow worm, is a species of #leglessLizard in the family #Anguidae found in eastern and northern Europe and Asia. It is easily confused with the #commonSlowWorm, due to their physical similarities, and the proximity of their distribution.

Scary finding today in my garden:
The body of a dead slow worm (Anguis veronensis) was still "beating", but I found out it was infested by small millipedes (Blaniulus guttulatus) and maggots 😅
