Andy Frasco is a Los Angeles native who started on the business side of the music industry and found himself crossing over to the artistic side. He usually plays with his band The U.N., which has a fluid line up from album to album except for Ernie Chang on the saxophone and Shawn Eckels on the guitar. His music is a mixture of major American musical traditions, rock, old style R&B, and blues, all wrapped in an all-time party band packaging, delivered with full commitment to the freewheeling spirit of the '70s style jamming. The band's live performances are especially a spectacle involving audience participation where guest musicians could show up or some member of the audience brought on to the stage, eruption of spontaneous musical battles, band member swapping instruments and so forth.
