Hey there, fellow gamers! Have you heard the news? Among Us has just released their VR game, and let me tell you, it's a blast! As a fan of the original game, I was super excited to dive into the virtual world of Among Us, and I have to say, it did not disappoint.
Now, for those of you who are wondering what's different in the VR edition, let me break it down for you. First off, everything is pretty much the same as the original game. You still have your crewmates, your impostors, and all the tasks and sabotage actions that you're familiar with. The core gameplay remains intact, which is great because that's what we all love about Among Us.
However, there are a couple of things that didn't make it into the VR edition, namely the Fungle and the Airship. Now, I know some of you might be disappointed by this, but let me explain why they didn't make the cut. The developers have mentioned that they weren't willing to include the Fungle and the Airship in the VR edition. While it's a bummer for sure, I can understand their decision. Developing for VR is a whole different ball game, and I'm sure they had their reasons for leaving out these elements.
But fear not, my friends! Despite the absence of the Fungle and the Airship, the VR edition of Among Us is still an absolute blast to play. The immersive experience of being able to move around and interact with the game world in virtual reality adds a whole new layer of excitement to the game. It's like you're actually inside the spaceship, carrying out tasks and trying to suss out the impostors. Trust me, it's an experience like no other.
So, if you're a fan of Among Us and you've been curious about trying out the VR edition, I highly recommend giving it a go. Sure, we might not have the Fungle or the Airship in this version, but there's still plenty of fun to be had. And who knows? Maybe the developers will consider adding them in a future update. In the meantime, let's enjoy what we do have and make the most of this awesome new way to experience Among Us.
Happy gaming, everyone! And remember, don't trust anyone... especially in VR!

my thoughts on #AmongUsVR so far is it's a fairly good game it's literally just the hit game among us but in VR
however the developers did not put a lot of thought into the desktop port as there are no configuration options for microphone input
not even a configuration .exe in the game's files meaning I cannot make my microphone work
so I had to resort to sign language which boils down to pointing at various different things
So #AmongUsVR, a game that I directed, is nominated for #TheGameAwards best VR game tonight. I wanted to get this out before we win or lose.
The show is an ad. The voting is a publicity stunt - an attempt to give the award some appearance of legitimacy.
In reality the public voting is 10% of the total score with 90% left to be given by some panel of insiders. Winning or even being nominated doesn't say that much about the quality of the game.
BUT
The game IS actually really good. AND lots of people that I worked closely with over the last year+ poured tons of effort into making this game great and they'd really like to win this award. They're really good and talented people doing really good work and they deserve all the recognition and good feels in the world.
SO
If your watching, cross your fingers for my friends who helped me make this game.
BUT
If your sad it's not your game on the stage, please don't be. If you make stuff that makes anyone happy, even you, you deserve it just as much.
