I want to try something... please reply with the first word or phrase that pops into your mind when you hear: "Gen X"

Boost appreciated.

Hey nerds! I REALLY need one of you to apply for this job. We're looking for a full stack web dev type person. I'm not 100% sure I know what that means, but if you do, maybe you're the one for the job? It's a solid place to work. I'll be your new best friend. Remote is fine. Don't sweat the requirements, just apply.

Removing ads from my mobile games and replacing them with a screen showing the following message for 90 seconds.

****
we could show you another ad for some random, soulless, shovelware garbage app that we know you don't want.

but the truth is we get such a tiny amount of money for subjecting you to that, that it's just not worth it.

instead we'd rather ask you to think about paying to remove this 'ad' from this game since it seems like you do enjoy playing it.

we'd also like to take this time to remind you that giving a few dollars, or a positive review, or even just telling your favorite creator that you enjoy their work will absolutely make their day.

Training an AI to worry about being replaced by people.

Quick reminder that my #IndieGame masterpiece*, Rainbow Laser Disco Dungeon, is on sale for $2 right now and it desperately needs you to play it, love it, and review it.

*I'm never going to make another game of this scope on my own, so I'm calling it my masterpiece. It's not a reflection on its quality, although it is actually really good. I'm sure it could have been a hit if I'd spent more time cultivating friendships in the industry and less time being a nerd making weird shit alone at night and working all day on NDA secret projects at my day job. That's okay. That's my life and I have no regrets about it. That said, I'm done pouring this kind of time and energy into projects that hardly anyone will ever see. It's heartbreaking and it's not the #GameDev life for me.

Anyway, you should check out my game... Here's flashy animated gif to convince you.

Boosts always welcome.

Save 80% on Rainbow Laser Disco Dungeon on Steam

It is the year 2084. Earth is ruled by evil robots. All music has been outlawed. Dancing is strictly forbidden. Still, in the underground, the beat goes on. Rainbow Laser Disco Dungeon: Half twin stick shooter, half rhythm game, half dungeon crawler. 150% groovy!

I actually feel like I'm being disrespectful to the work I do if I don't try to get it in front of people at least occasionally.

If you believe people's work has value then so must yours! Toot toot your own horn from time to time!

I think the correct interpretation of "He sees you when you're sleeping; he knows when you're awake" is that Santa can see you only when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake because during that time he cannot see you. That's why you'd better be good "for goodness sake." Santa cannot punish or reward your waking actions, as they are beyond the range of his vision.

So #AmongUsVR, a game that I directed, is nominated for #TheGameAwards best VR game tonight. I wanted to get this out before we win or lose.

The show is an ad. The voting is a publicity stunt - an attempt to give the award some appearance of legitimacy.

In reality the public voting is 10% of the total score with 90% left to be given by some panel of insiders. Winning or even being nominated doesn't say that much about the quality of the game.

BUT

The game IS actually really good. AND lots of people that I worked closely with over the last year+ poured tons of effort into making this game great and they'd really like to win this award. They're really good and talented people doing really good work and they deserve all the recognition and good feels in the world.

SO

If your watching, cross your fingers for my friends who helped me make this game.

BUT

If your sad it's not your game on the stage, please don't be. If you make stuff that makes anyone happy, even you, you deserve it just as much.

A lot of people forget the golden rule: Behave as if Mister Rogers is present.

If you follow me and you have profile picture I'll likely just reflexively follow you back. I'd prefer to let people in and then quietly usher them out if they're somehow making my home feed less homey.

If you're a locked-account and you get a request from me and you're not comfy granting it, that's cool. No hard feelings.
