Looking at some pricing changes of RAM and SSDs I bought in the last year.
All the RAM tripled in price. All the SSDs doubled in price.
It's not stopping here.

You're paying for AI whether you use it or not.

Went out to lunch with my mom and sister. I had a rough idea what the carbs would be, but I decided to see what AI would estimate. It gave me a low and a high estimate. Even the low estimate looked unreasonable.
Had I used that low estimate, I would have had an emergency. I didn't have my rescue med (baqsimi) with me so that would likely have looked like an emergency call.
Don't use AI for your healthcare.
My own non-AI estimate worked fine.
Excellent description of AI via Vince Gilligan:
"the world’s most expensive and energy-intensive plagiarism machine."

@stina_marie I'm not sure if this will get rid of all the AI garbage, but on my phone I went to
Settings -> Apps -> Assistant (had to scroll down a bit) -> Digital assistants from Google -> Selected Google Assistant (instead of Gemini).
Maybe that will help?
Still, I feel like I'm noticing more AI creeping into my phone this week...
If #chatGPT isn't good for writing regexes for you, what good is it at all?
If you want to know, how to provide a large resource (such as an owned String) to a criterion benchmark, you can use the `iter_batched` method:
https://docs.rs/criterion/latest/criterion/struct.Bencher.html#method.iter_batched
See an example of this in #CsvDiff
