1. My all time Favorite Is more of a duology and they are part of a series by Sherrilyn (Kenyon) McQueen. Acheron and Styxx.
The stories are dark and have a lot of CWs but I adore the characters. She has a unique take on greek gods and myths. #myths #greek #DarkHunter #sherrilynkenyon #darkthemes
2. My next suprised me when I read it. Robert A. Heinlein's Starship Troopers. I had watched the movie as a teen and expected the same silly camp from the book. I was blown away and intrigues by the radical political nature of it. #starshiptroopers #political #militaryindustrialcomplexregime
2. Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. I love the way this book explorea the nature of myth and archeology and religion. #religion #Evolution #philosophy #theology
3. Zealot: The life of Jesus of Nazareth by Reza Aslan. I really enjoyed his objective, historical look at the person of who Jesus was or would have/could have been. #religion #skeptic #historian
4. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I liked that the story and his ideas challenged what we think we knew/know. While fictional and fantastic, it makes you sit and think about things from a new angle. #mystery #conspiracy
5. Dune by Frank Herbert was the first real sci-fi epic story I got sucked into whole heartedly and it has stuck with me. #scifi #dune #FrankHerbert
6. Anne of Green Gables (and all its sequels) by L.M. Montgomery will always be my fist literary love.
