Finished this uni project. Made in #Maya, #SubstancePainter, #3DEqualizer and #nuke. The weird ripple effect is becuase the original shot had a windmill in the location. Definitely not perfect but I am quite happy with what I've done.

#Matchmoving sits at the start of each shot's work. This means that it needs to be done quickly and perfectly. Which means that you can't really train somebody new to do it on the job - even more so with all those complex anamorphic lenses nowadays. We've resorted to outsourcing most if not all of it.

How are others doing it? Are your studios large enough to have matchmove departments?
