J (he/him) 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🦘I started #3000YearsOfLonging with a skeptical eye for Hollywood’s tired take of exoticism for everything that is non-AngloSaxon and found myself enchanted and at times vaguely shocked at the meticulously presented images on screen. Smitten by Idris Elba’s voice, masculine face, and perpetually naked body on the screen, I found myself watching the movie all the way until the end. I went on to learn about the Aussie director George Miller, who has a string of iconic movies under his belt.

I spent money on Amazon Prime on a couple of films. First, #3000yearsoflonging with #TildaSwinton and #IdrisAlba — perfect casting and amazing production design. If you are interested in acting and production, well worth it.
Then there was #lylelylecrocodile — about a #CGI singing crocodile in NYC. What drove me to distraction was grammar. One of the two top songs contained “you and I” as in “a place for you and I” instead of “you and me” — (always an editor, I guess).
