Hostile Architecture@pteryx but that's just it. The GM *cannot* kill your PC in #10candles -- you simply survive 10 scenes as the story moves ever closer to the inevitable tragic end. It's not D&D where characters can die individually because of their own poor choices and the overall narrative isn't that much worse for it.
I played #10candles for the first time ever last week. I'd been hearing very good things so when someone offered to GM I jumped at the opportunity. Unfortunately the horror theme quickly devolved into a sort of comedy as players took a lot of liberties with their Virtues and Vices (that other people wrote for them, as per the game rules).
donthatedontkillLast night I ran a game of 10 Candles. Juggling and remembering all the information isn't easy for my little hamster brain. It's even harder with inattentive players who need the rules reexplained up to the very end of the game and sometimes even just what's currently happening. I kind of wonder what I'm doing wrong. If anyone has advice, I'm all ears.

Auf der allerersten #3W6Con habe ich #10Candles gespielt und das war sehr schaurig. Wir haben es in den Kellerräumen der Con-Location gespielt, was nochmal einiges zur eh schon tollen Atmosphäre des Spiels beigetragen hat - man spielt 10 Candles nur im Licht von 10 Kerzen, die nach und nach gelöscht werden, bis das Spiel bei völliger Dunkelheit endet. Ich glaube es war außerdem das erste Rollenspiel, das @catrinity und ich miteinander gespielt haben, also Bonuspunkte dafür!
13.Tag: Das erinnerungswürdigste Dahinscheiden eines Charakters?
Auch wenn’s nur ein Oneshot auf der #3w6con und keine lange Kampagne war, der Tod meines Charakters bei #10candles ist mir besonders wegen der grandiosen Stimmung und der spannenden Runde in Erinnerung geblieben. Niemand überlebt bei 10 Candles, also war es absehbar - und trotzdem wachsen einem die Figuren dann doch ans Herz. Unter anderem wegen eines sehr eindrücklichen Spielelements, das ich hier aber nicht spoilern will ;)
