Yam Kim-Fai was the absolute legend of male role players in Cantonese Opera. Her charm and charisma were off the scale.

You can find lots of clips of her on YouTube (the best ones with her equally legendary partner Pak Suet-Sin).

I know that Cantonese Opera is so different from western music that it can be a bit of challenge, but Yam-Pak are worth it!

This came up in my search results as dated to December last year but turns out to be an archived page for a commemoration that took place in 2009 to mark 20 years since Yam Kim-Fai's death.
