So, taking pictures of just about everything (including selfies) was NOT what was done in lower middle class families before the digital age. But I took pictures of a lot of stuff! Ridiculous amounts! So much so, my Christmas and birthday gifts usually involved film for my cameras. And when I got to high school, I learned how to develop negatives and prints. It seems so commonplace now, but back in the 1970s, 80s and even early 90s, that's how it was done. And I wanted to take pictures of EVERYTHING! Well, at least things that interested me. City gardens, dark alleyways, abandoned buildings, haunted forests. Yup. That's who I was (and still am -- I keep filling up memory cards and my phone).
