Looks like Libs of TikTok is already active on #Threads, so if they actually do connect with the Fediverse they should be treated exactly the same as you would any other instance that endorses anti-trans, eliminationist rhetoric.

We knew who #Meta was already, but it is nice of them to clearly confirm it.

1. Meta embraces ActivityPub, federates with mastodon.social, uses Fediverse servers as a "look at all the people you can talk to on day one!"

2. People on Fediverse start following/mingling with Threads accounts, thereby tightly integrating the network effect between the two

3. People decide that if they can get access to the Fediverse through Threads instead of Mastodon, which is for "dumb nerds", they'll go with Threads

4. "Threads will be ending support for ActivityPub on September 1st, 2026 - click here to import your Mastodon account"

5. Fediverse users leave en masse so they can keep talking to their friends on Threads

Re-sharing on this username (more under my old @ceralor maybe) but have been working on ear #haptics for #VRChat. OSC combined with contact senders and receivers makes this a breeze! On my own avatar my ears touched via hands or fingers, or custom terms feet/toes (like for laying down around folks) or nose or tongue, triggers an OSC value to talk to a #Python script which sends the value to a #microcontroller on my headset.

In short: touch my ears and I'll wiggle and yap cause I feel it!

cohost is a nice website run by cool people and i enjoy the things that are posted there and the people that inhabit it. it's design philosophy is admirable, despite its growing pains. i hope it succeeds in its mission, which will be a net benefit to the internet and its users.
