Alright, here we go. Moving my account to @zebpalmer
(if you follow me, you'll automatically get moved over)
See y'all on the flip side.

Been in tech for over 25 years. I've done a bunch of random stuff in that time; these days, I build distributed teams and distributed systems.

I should also mention that I haven't added verification to my main website (zebpalmer.com) yet for the typical techie reason of: I haven't touched it in 5 years & I need to relearn Hugo themes and fix a CI/CD issue before I dare touch it. I don't have the mental capacity to deal with front-end work atm...
https://zeb.dev is verified on my profile and is linked via my Twitter profile. I'll also post a note on twitter after the move is complete.
PSA: I'm going to be moving my mastodon account over to a friends & family server instance that we've been load testing for a few days.
Sometime later tonight, I'll be [email protected]
Followers will automatically move over, but you may see weirdness for an hour or so as the federated network catches up.
I'll post one final hurrah here right before I move.
Mitch McConnell—who is in an interracial marriage—just voted no on codifying interracial marriage.

us: "are you familiar with xyz"
them: "um..."
us: _hears typing_
them: "oh, that's....."
We can *always* tell when you're typing. and we can tell when you're stalling so you can google vs when you're stalling so you can pull something out of your brain.
I'm not opposed to googling in an interview, but there are questions that are more/less appropriate. A quick "let me look that up" is better than us hearing you typing while stalling.
#earthquake #news
First up, a 3.7 just north of #Missoula, #Montana.
Size is notable in the area.
Here's the data from the seismograph I have at my parents house in Salmon, Idaho.
We also had a cluster of at least 5 earthquakes just NE of Bear Lake, #Idaho on the #Wyoming border. The largest was around 3.5.
