Hi everyone! The 21.04 release series of the Greenbone Community Edition is now *end-of-life*. We strongly encouraged everyone to update to the 22.04 release series.

Greenbone Community Edition 21.04 will *not* get any further updates and releases.

This is kind of a second part to our introduction 👋 as we're doing this a little differently here than we did on the other site. We have one account instead of three and starting to re-follow people from there over here, and also follow more people and projects.

Our prior accounts were GreenboneNet (German), GreenboneEN (English) and OpenVAS (English).

Our posts will be in English, German, or possibly both at times.

I have been using Git a long, long time. I have worked on Git clients and libraries. At some places I've worked, I am the person folks go to when they need Git help.

And yet, only today I learned you can pass -m to commit twice (or more) and it will do the right thing of making each successive message a new paragraph (which is useful for the convention of a short summary as a single first line and following paragraphs as a more detailed message).

A quick heads-up that there's at least one phishing bot making the rounds right now. The picture below shows the text in the bio of one seen today, possibly using more than one account (using different url shorteners). When you see this, please report the account (using the "Spam" category and describe it as "phishing bot") and also make sure it forwards to the account host. Thanks!

Today's #project extending our GitHub #Python API to allow easy CLI scripting.

Most of the code is already ready and I am currently adding missing things for creating new GitHub repositories with our default settings. For example setting branch protection rules for the default branch.

„Nicht in meinem Garten Attitüde“ strikes again. Dieses Mal, will man nicht, dass neue Häuser (nur!) 1 Stockwerk(!) höher sind als umliegende. Notorische Klimawendeblockierer von CDU, BOB und FDP stellen sich natürlich dahinter. Wenn man weniger Fläche versiegeln möchte, und man gleichzeitig mehr Wohnraum benötigt, bleibt nur die Option der Nachverdichtung. Aber das wäre ja nicht schön! Mensch! 🤦 Ich hoffe, die Ratsmehrheit verfolgt den Kurs weiter. #Lokalpolitk

Transitioning the outdoor carnivores to winter dormancy. This is a temporary arrangement with frost protection (thin top frost blanket to still let some light though and thick under padding) until their planned overwinter spot is consistently cold enough to move them into.
