I found a small issue and a fix with #syncthing on android via #termux.
Changing files in a DCIM directory doesn't trigger media index scan.
So, no changes will be visible in android gallery until a phone is restarted or a media scan is triggered.
Fortunately #android termux-media-scan fixes that https://wiki.termux.com/wiki/Termux-media-scan
So basically to our little launching script we can add one more line run the scan upon #syncthing exit
termux-media-scan /data/data/com.termux/files/home/storage/dcim

It's appears #syncthing fork android version can be fully replaced by #syncthing running in #termux
Additionally you can install from Fdroid a nice addon for #termux called
termux-widget which creates a widget with a list of clickable scripts on your screen.
No need to type manually commands from termux each time you wanna start syncthing
