@Em0nM4stodon Is Signal considered big tech? Figure end-to-end encrypted messaging groups would help a lot with organizing stuff like this, at least on smaller scale.

Stop using Big Tech to organize your protests! They're part of the authoritarian surveillance and oppression as well.

@talon @miki @menelion @fireborn Switzerland was also going to do it, yes? I wonder if theirs will fall too. And it might not even be for accessibility reasons, probably just because Microsoft will lobby lawmakers to ditch it, if that's legal there, or for some kind of integration reason. Data silos are real.

What I see:
"Denmark Set to Replace #Microsoft Software with Open Source Alternatives

Denmark's Digital Ministry is replacing Microsoft services with LibreOffice and Linux."
What I read:
"Denmark is excluding screen reader users from opportunities to get a job at their public institutions".
to those who are happy about the #OpenSource move: you should never forget that there are lots of users, already vulnerable in our society, whose chance to get a decent job drastically lowers from already being quite low to asymptotically nearing zero.
I wonder however, what happens on June 28th this year when #EAA (European #Accessibility act) enters in vigor.
How would those who ditch #Microsoft and #Google products so hastily adhere to this law? Or will they just do as if accessibility legislation was not a thing?

@MutedTrampet Oh he even reached back out to me and clarified some things. Glad I chose to give feedback even if I had to fudge the URL, the report a problem link actually sends such a large URL that the frame says bad request, so I just strip the query string.

Title: Remember What I Forgot

Summary: Ten years after the defeat of Voldemort and fall of Harry Potter, footage emerges of a friend long thought dead. Finding him alive and unaware of his past, Hermione does what she does best. But with other factions in play and with nothing as it seems, how far will she go to find out the truth of what happened?

@MutedTrampet Oh he actually did! I wrote a nicely detailed feedback about that, glad to see he took it to heart!

Story about my favourite moment at #WWDC25

On Monday, I was sitting at a SwiftUI lab at Apple Park.

Suddenly someone tapped my shoulder. They showed me a phone, saying:

"Hi, are you Klemens?" (They were mute.)

I nodded.

They typed, and then showed me their phone again:
"Thank you so much for everything you do in accessibility. My team and I appreciate your work".

They gave me this pin and walked away.

I almost burst into tears. It was a tiny gesture, but it was perfect. 💙
