We have been made aware of an issue associated with the recent migration of the Mastodon instance climatejustice.global.

The Mastodon instance climatejustice.global has been migrated from the former hosting provider masto.host to the private infrastructure of the fediverse.foundation.
All media files were formerly hosted by masto.host's CDN located at https://cdn.masto.host/ , and those URLs are now no longer valid.

This means that every Fediverse instance that has formerly federated with climatejustice.global now most likely has broken links for all remote media URLs related to posts and media from climatejustice.global in their databases.
This results in previously cached media from climatejustice.global not loading or not showing correctly when accessed by local users.

We have provided a PSA with means to identify and resolve the issue here:

🌟NEW WEBSITE Autism Understood launching TODAY! 🌟

A project by Spectrum Gaming, created by autistic adults and young people!

When young people are diagnosed Autistic, they are not told what it is or what it means, often they will go online and look for answers. Most of that information is outdated and can be harmful.

So we have worked hard over the past year to create a new website AutismUnderstood that offers young people meaningful and correct information about autism. This information has been written by a wide range of people, including young people themselves.

This project has been led by a mix of adult staff and young people, with tons of contributions from the SG community, in addition to autistic adults, parents and professionals.

I would also like to make the argument that a burrito can be a hat.

If you see "parental rights" or "parents' rights" in the context of the autonomy and medical and social welfare of a child within the federal jurisdiction of Canada, it may interest you to note that that concept is fairly antithetical to the established legal approach (as imperfect as it often is). According to practice here — as far as I understand it, based on conversations with lawyers and social workers — the welfare of the child comes first and foremost, and the concept of parental rights is not really a thing, but in the eyes of the courts and the law should be framed rather as parental responsibility. Parents don't have the right to do whatever they want with their children. Parents have the responsibility to the welfare and wellbeing of their children.

"Parents rights" is a gender critical, queerphobic, and ableist dogwhistle. Be on guard when you see it.
