Does economic #evidence on #migration change attitudes & preferences? Messages about the modestly positive impacts of EU migrants to the UK led respondents (inc. Leave & non-voters) to hold more positive economic perceptions, prefer more open policies, and be less likely to agree that migration levels were too high. Charts & infographic video didn't reduce effects.

We identify a reactive phase that mainly reported available data, and a proactive phase that created new policy narratives as goals shifted.
