Album Of The Day: Pizzicato Five *This Year's Girl* JP Seven Gods 1991

Been wanting to get this album for a long time. AOTY contender.
Album Of The Day: The Persuaders *The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me* US ATCO 1974
https://www.discogs.com/release/9863698-The-Persuaders-Best-Thing-That-Ever-Happened-To-Me
I managed to get four sealed new old stock records this year, this being the oldest.
Anberlin "We Owe This To Ourselves b/w I'd Like To Die" US Universal Republic 2010 VinylDisc
Can't decide between releasing something on vinyl or CD? Why not both? In 2009, Optimal Media came with the VinylDisc, one side is a playable record, the other is a CD side. The format was mostly used for promos, such as this one for Anberlin, since the fidelity on the vinyl side is limited, and the extra thickness limited use to just tray CD players.
Album Of The Day: Odyssey *Odyssey* US Real Gone Music/MoWest 1972, 2025 reissue
https://www.discogs.com/release/34742730-Odyssey-Odyssey
One of the many fine reissues that came out in 2025, a cult classic finally gets a US reissue after years of Japan only releases.
Album Of The Day: Marc Jordan *Mannequin* CA Warner Bros. 1978
https://www.discogs.com/release/2525737-Marc-Jordan-Mannequin
Contender for personal Album Of The Year.
Album Of The Day: *Blue Note Gems Of Jazz* US Blue Note 1964, 1967 reissue, mono
https://www.discogs.com/release/5112755-Various-Blue-Note-Gems-Of-Jazz
Originally released for the label's 25th anniversary. An affordable pre-1970 Blue Note release, with a selection of classic tracks originally released mostly on shellacs from 1947 to 1953.
Album Of The Day: Diane Dufresne *Turbulences* CA Kébec-Disc 1982
https://www.discogs.com/release/1119673-Diane-Dufresne-Turbulences
Francophone soft rock with a West Coast sheen.
Album Of The Day: The Coyote Sisters *The Coyote Sisters* US Lorimar/Morocco 1984
https://www.discogs.com/release/1199051-The-Coyote-Sisters-The-Coyote-Sisters
I fully admit that I picked this up 75% because of the cover and 25% because it was on a Discogs AOR/Yacht Rock list. But it's a solid pop rock record.
Album Of The Day: Anita Baker *Rapture* US Elektra 1986
