@xabean I’ve used https://lsm.foobar.fi for this, in fact the exact scenario. You need to write define the detection logic and the failover/recovery actions, but it has examples and has been effective for the past year or so.

@dr2chase I've used both Fastmail and LuxSci for years, and both are quite good. Fastmail has a much better web UI if you use that for mail, and it is probably better for families where you are supporting e.g. parents or kids (you can assume their account easily). LuxSci lets you share space among all users (so space is effectively cheaper) and has useful API if you are automating setups.

@unread Is it possible to change the setting of the displayed text for a feed permanently (from Webpage to Feed). Unread makes an intelligent choice in most cases, but for some forums I read via RSS it shows the full page (which can be dozens of posts) rather than a single post (which is included in the Feed view). Switching manually works, but the change is not permanent.

@overcastfm I have the skip forward settings set to 30 seconds and skip back set to 15 seconds. Using the buttons directly works. However, if I try to activate a custom skip via Siri, e.g. “Hey Siri, skip forward five minutes” the skip forward is always 30 seconds (and back is always 15 seconds). Siri recognizes the text based on what is displayed on screen, but I can never get anything other than the equivalent of pressing the control button. This began with the new version released yesterday. Thanks.

@Infrogmation You might try Kagi. It isn’t free, but I found that while DDG requires me going to Google several times a day I probably go there once a month after switching to Kagi.
