Gaza is currently experiencing the largest slaughter of men, women and children in decades and a destruction rate that has produced over 40 million tonnes of rubble that will take over a decade to clear.

The near 100,000 tonnes of bombs dropped on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 surpasses the World War II bombings of London, Dresden, and Hamburg combined. Gaza is the site of one of the largest engineered mass starvations this century.

Palestine against an eco-apartheid world

In coming years, eco-apartheid will become more prominent worldwide as colonial violence is used to maintain and safeguard Western interests and profits. We are seeing this future in Gaza today.

Israel has killed at least 640 Palestinians in north Gaza since it laid siege to the area 17 days ago, 33 of them since dawn on Monday.

In Gaza, civilians face unimaginable hardship amid ongoing conflict. Children carry injured siblings on foot, struggling to survive.

In the south, drone strikes target makeshift shelters, killing displaced civilians. Families mourn innocent lives lost in supposed "safe zones."

Nowhere in Gaza is safe.

The Israeli army has confirmed that three captives who died in Gaza last year were actually killed by Israeli shelling. The incident happened back in December.

Israel had previously "denied any responsibility". Military officials now say they were unaware the captives were present when they launched the attack.

"From day one they lied to us, the goal has always been to undermine Hamas and maybe bring a few hostages along the way," Ron Sherman's mother said.

@poorpossum You can do archery by shooting at a very close target if you just want to work on proper form. Set up your target like 2 feet away in a backyard (or even indoors) and make sure there's no way anyone will walk behind and there's something solid behind it that can catch stray arrows. Arrows should have a tight grouping and sticking straight out and not skewed. If they're skewed, it means you're doing something weird.

I think I started paying for ProtonMail around 2018. I still have my Gmail but I only use it now for junk subscriptions.

Everything is state capitalism, nothing is socialism. If you're not a martyr, you're a sellout.

Western Marxism, the Fetish for Defeat, and Christian Culture

There is a fundamental contradiction in many of the Marxist studies that are produced in the West. Every time that they speak of Marxism in Asia — in China, Korea or Vietnam — or when they speak of popular movements in Africa such as in Egypt or Libya, they highlight the…

@princesaballena Because it feels like the 1990s never ended. We wear pretty much the same clothes and hairstyles, current music could just as easily have been made in the 90s, same with TV and movies. The only big difference is cell phones.

Canada in the Year 2060 - Macleans.ca

Summers lost to fire and smoke. Biblical floods. Dying forests. Retreating coasts. Economic turmoil and political unrest. It’s going to be a weird century. Here’s what it will look like—and how Canada can get through it.

@effy That's why rich people have servants. In the past, wives of rich men were expected to manage the servants. For the lower classes, wives were judged on their cooking and cleaning.
