So…MIT has an AI incident tracker. It tracks and classifies the damage AI has done and harm it has caused. The classification is defined by seven key categories:
Discrimination/toxicity
Privacy/security
Misinformation
Malicious actors
HCI
Socioeconomic/environmental
System safety/failures/limitations
Tracked by AI. 😂
I found a tardigrade! Been looking for one of these every time we do the "Life In The Littlest Loch" experiment and finally found one! So cute 😍

Animal of the day (048)
Ever wondered what a shrimp nigiri sushi would look like as an animal? Look no further and behold the Pink Fairy Armadillo! It is the smallest species of armadillo, and a solitary, desert-adapted animal, endemic to central Argentina. Its diet is mainly composed of insects, worms, snails, and various plant parts. Its reduced eyes, reinforced forearms and enlarged digging claws make it a subterranean lifestyle specialist. It is also one of few mammals that do not have external ears visible.

wow the signal usernames design is good actually:
- username is exclusively an "adding you" thing
- this is because they are one way of getting an invitation to chat with you
- there's also randomized and resettable links that can be shared for this
- usernames must always have discriminator numbers, which can be freely selected
- usernames aren't shown to anyone you are in chats with
- by default phone numbers are no longer shared with chats
this seems to have basically Fixed it
