San Jose Unified School District may close my daughter's school, even though its enrollment outperforms the district average.
Closing Reed Elementary will disrupt kids and families, add increased traffic and pollution to an already challenged road system, and break up a thriving community with a school at its center.
If you're so inclined, help us tell the district this is not OK. The overall effort includes proposals to close 1/3 of San Jose's elementary schools. And they decided this plan in a rushed process of just a few months. San Jose needs to slow down, do this right, and invest in our community. Don't shutter our schools and hurt our kids.
