Vite restaurant sits atop a hill in northern Italy surrounded by vineyards and boasting a panoramic view of the Adriatic sea.

The restaurant has just been awarded a Michelin Green star.

For the staff here, this is more than an award for cooking. Almost all the workers at Vite are recovering substance abusers. Not long ago, they were fighting to escape a spiral of drug addiction, now they are part of a Michelin-starred kitchen team.

I’m a big fan of minimalist photography. Clean lines, stak colors. I took this one on the boardwalk of the Spanish city of Calpe.

Gravediggers, Dublin, 1966 by Evelyn Hofer. I cannot imagine a more perfect composition for this photograph.

Okay, I'll do another #Fensterfreitag #WindowFriday.

This one is in the historic campo of San Silvestro near the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy.

Ah yes, who could forget about Toilets, my favorite Greek philosopher.
Many thanks to everyone at @[email protected] - this is great company to be in!
Homeless Man, Spitalfields, 1969 by Don McCullin. “I held his gaze and looked into the bluest eyes I had ever seen then brought my Nikon up to my eye and took the photo. He looked like one of those Neptune figures”. McCullin thought this was the best portrait he had ever taken.

Late Night Catastrophizing. I can’t be the only one. As you try to drop off to sleep, every one of tomorrow’s tasks, chores and errands looms like an unconquerable giant. From cleaning up in the kitchen (a 2 hr job at least) to the backlog of emails and the sense you must make of the bathroom. Yet, next morning everything is done in 6½ minutes. What was all that angst about, eh? Tch. Anyway, forgive the overshare.
