Good news everyone! The move is close to complete and things are going smoothly on the new place!

As such, I'm restarting my GameDev streams starting on (coincidentally!) the 1st of October.

Thank you so much for being patient. I'll see you then! 😊💚

It's been a little while since I posted a game dev update. Here are clips of my combat screen. First is from July, which is very rudamentary. And then from September, which includes a few animations for enemies attacking and getting hit, and notifications of what attacks are being used!

(September background is ripped from a Dragon Quest game, not final art)

I think I'm becoming utterly disillusioned on tech stuff lately. I'm hugely aware of the "you like stuff you grew up with" and "you have less patience for stuff as you age" biases, but even so...

Streaming is shit.
Searching is shit.
Researching is shit.
Shopping is shit.
Troubleshooting is shit.
My phone is shit. Autocorrect, touchscreen keyboards, Bluetooth, AI, Android Auto, Spotify, all shit.

It's not even capitalism or consumerism, I'm just tired of arguing and fighting with things I own.

I feel like I shouldn't have to troubleshoot viewport rendering issues for my 2d game in godot at this stage in my learning process, but here we are. :D

Going live, doing some game dev for my JRPG project!

Had to solve an audio problem so stream will be later after dinner. Routing audio via voicemeeter was causing a huge crackle issue so now I'm routing direct. Will need to test/resolve this later for other programs like Teams/Discord
Upgrading my home office audio today! Previously had a Blue Snowball. If I have time I'll test it out on stream this afternoon/evening while doing some game dev coding.

I haven't posted here in a while, I should change that.

I'd like to use this space for my game dev using Godot and GDScript.

Remember: No amount of watching YouTube videos and "thinking about it" replaces just doing the thing and getting practice hours in.
Ringing in the new year by... watching Godot tutorials. :D
