I'm missing out on a lab at uni today because I didn't want to kill #drosophila . It's interesting studying #MolecularBiology and #ecology - I can see how easy it is to reduce organisms like that to simple machines.

It's going to be interesting, and probably complicated, to navigate #ethics as I go through my degree and after. Science doesn't seem to have a starting point of respect and compassion.
