#SaturdayScrunching For no reason at all, here's an ancient pic (from 2004 - my 1st digital camera!) of the wonderful deformed Dalradian rocks at Imachar on the W coast of Arran. There's a lot of fancy stuff going on here - more info in alt text if you want it! ๐ค ๐ ๐คฉ
The movement of shingle on the beach keeps these rocks clean of algae, lichens, seaweed etc, but it also means that some years the rocks are invisible - completely buried under pebbles.

Yesterday a friend showed me this beautiful potato which was owned by her great grandfather, who had been a farmer in East Lothian. The miracle potato had survived, and been passed down the generations. ๐คฉ๐

Well here is some extremely good news that is worth sharing! Good news for Scotland, for geology, and for the Isle of Arran: Arran has been inscribed as a UNESCO Global Geopark!
