Swapping a number of the bios config batteries used in Tandy 3000 and 4000 systems. Never thought #retrocomputing would utilise vaping batteries but they are 3.7V with battery holders. The Molex KK connectors come prewired from #Farnell. Three to do today. #trs80

A new addition to the collection, it's as mint as it looks. Power supply will need a RIFA update and depending on stability maybe an output stage refresh. The US to UK voltage change is simple. It has colour hi-res but is lacking on system memory but fortunately I can fix that from stock due to a spare card.

Moved forwards with an 3000NL sourced from Egypt. Was very sandy inside which wasn't a surprise. The 5 1/4 drive cleaned up but the 3.5 drive was full of gunk. Hard disk replaced with a DREM and a new Sony mechanism installed to rid the gunk. #drem #trs80 #3000NL #retrocomputing

Added a 4000SX to the collection. Clean and working. Now running clean version of Dos 6.22. Needs a replacement battery and the 2Mb memory expansion upgrading to 8Mb. #trs80 #4000SX

Lastest #tandy #tandy3000 shipped in for my #radioshack #retrocomputing collection. A 3000NL with a ton of Egyptian sand inside. Fortunately the system is dry and it’s removing easily. The system is also rust free which is amazing. System is complete but a bit tatty. Lots to clean up before we get to testing.

Got to love 2Mb memory issues on the @applelisaclone. Both the clone card and the SunREM are unstable. Time to evaluate the SIMMS.

Finally I have reunited the #trs80 Model 16A with its 68000 cup and memory card which were sold across two eBay auctions. I got the cards and Phil the machine. Well it’s reunited today and successfully running diagnostics. A dead second Z80 memory card needs work, but I also have a clone Type 2 hard disk adapter to install and a hires card.
