@jpm @jacqueline @shlee one of the greatest irritations of the swap to Apple ear buds was the destruction of the incredible DAC that Steve jobs had built specifically for the ipod and iPhone.
Easily the best Ive ever used was in the iPhone 4 and 4S
In the realm of precision engineering and craftsmanship, where every hole matters and accuracy is paramount, the humble drill plays a pivotal role

I finally found the SCP joke tweet about containing Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You":

2022 as the year seems to check out (as the latest possible year), as I had originally read it shortly after it was posted. This was definitely before Musk's formal acquisition of Twitter/X.

Initially, I thought that the earliest year could be 2019, but I do recall that COVID was either publicly somewhat still ongoing or tapering off.

If you're wondering why we didn't post anything for Halloween this year, that's because we were trying to stop Mariah Carey from breaching again. For the record, we failed. Sorry about the next two months.

X (formerly Twitter)
SCP-2350 directly references Operation Ranch Hand, and details the SCP anomalous equivalent of Agent Orange from the Vietnam War.

SCP-9960 had a really good story.

Also, it's been a while since I've seen math like this, but I probably still wouldn't have understood the math anyways.

I never expected to root for a (somewhat) tragic AI protagonist, especially in a standalone SCP article-story:
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-8483

I can tell this is definitely a story written post-2023 IRL when it comes to reflecting social trends about AI.

The plot twist about the artificial lungs being mandated for all Kane Industries employees was absolutely tragic when it was used in a Heaven's Gate-like manner towards the end.

This only reinforces the main point of Andy (of Salem Techperts fame on YouTube): a solid business-grade computer/laptop from 2015 and onward is probably still good enough for non-intensive tasks in 2025:

However, you probably want more powerful and newer used hardware (i.e., a discrete GPU highly recommended/Apple's ARM Silicon) from 2020 or newer in 2025 if you frequently: edit videos, use 3D modelling/CAD software, &/or play intensively graphical games.

I Ignored My Own Advice...
