PDF is not evil. Ignorance is.

A view that while interesting, seems to ignore security problems inherent with PDF’s and its nature as an Adobe originating Standard. (Which while the PDF 2.0 is an ISO standard can’t truly shake)

Also, we should use more FOSS for PDF’s since getting those compliant is easier than trying to get BigTech to “consider” changing their ways.

Just saw the Keynote of @erikKroes
On #NCDT2025 , he has some interesting ideas on how to anchor accessibility in your organisation.

I don’t know if I fully agree with them, but we first need to have such a thing before we can start improving it to become better (imho).

This morning I read on @Tweakers that the Dutch government was going to continue using American Big tech for their cloud services.

But than I heard that @geertwilders decided that he could not continue with this administration and decided to retract his and his parties (the PVV) from its participation in said administration.

All I can hope at this stage is that the new administration will not take such an un European and un Dutch approach by continuing a “monopoly” from a foreign power that has shown to be untrustworthy when it comes to data and sovereignty.

And I also want to wish all of our political parties and their members a good and safe election cycle (since that’s what I expect will happen now).
