I'm low-key working on my pitch for @pancakescon next year (which I can't talk about because the submissions are judged blind), and I realized...

If you want to talk at #PancakesCon multiple years, you need to have multiple hobbies.

Which is something of the point of the conference, I think.

#ComfyCon and #PancakesCon were amazing this year. I had a blast and met some new friends. Thank you so much for listening to me talk about statistics and embroidery!

PancakesCon 6 just closed and I am so happy to see it is still going strong. Thanks to @hacks4pancakes, the volunteers, and speakers. Dipped my toe in the CTF and learned a couple of things including what a Tim Tam slam is

#pancakescon #pancakescon6

Huge thanks and appreciation to the speakers and ALL the volunteers that made another fantastic @pancakescon #PancakesCon

Shoutout to the AV and backstage team at @pancakescon. They made it so effortless to get set up and speak, even stepping in with less than 5 minutes' notice was easy.

#PancakesCon

Thank you for attending #PancakesCon this year. I know the schedule change was rough, and we had an incredibly crew of volunteers, speakers, and village organizers who put up with that. Our talks will be posted over the next few weeks, and we really hope you had an amazing time and learned a lot.
Our final keynote, the amazing @alyssam_infosec will be speaking in a few minutes. Track 2 will be closing, and it will be streamed on Track 1 followed by our closing remarks and CTF awards! Thank you for attending #pancakescon and @ComfyConAU today!
Its 2:20 AM and I have a rum and coke. And still more TimTams. Next talks are "Patient Craftsmanship - Finding Malicious Users and Embroidery" or "A Primer on Windows Access Control & Creating a Compelling D&D Villain"
Do you want to be a DM, or make fancy clothing? Come hang #pancakescon
As frustrating as the #WCUS programming organizer role was, I kinda want to do it again next year just so I can advocate for a #pancakescon style track (beginner/early career level, and ~half of every session is about something totally unrelated to infosec, like storygames or spinning yarn).
Your next hard decision at #PancakesCon is whether to watch "Career Planning in an Era of Layoffs and Storygames" or "Hacking the OSCP & the Practice of Zen Meditation" (or joining Hardware village, or Lockpick Village, or the CTF programs, or getting your resume reviewed, or doing a TimTam Slam,)
