"Summer has come to mean record-breaking temperatures, raging #wildfires, and heat-related illnesses. It can be hard to stay cool when we’re literally cooking ourselves like a tray of cocktail weiners. Air-conditioning is still a luxury for many people, and in much of the northern US and Canada, it’s not uncommon to live in a home without it. Others, to reduce their environmental footprint, go without AC because the energy-sucking machines raise city temperatures by pumping heat outdoors. Even for those with AC, the power could go out during an ill-timed #Heatwave.
