@annporterla.bsky.social Lindsay has an auto-immune disorder which flares up and makes it difficult for her to get around. Based on my experience, the only thing we feel is helplessness because we can't fix the problem. You're definitely not a burden.

@Sempf I think it's more likely that they're cutting staff because Nexstar (4) bought Tegna (10). It wouldn't surprise me if the 10 folks got laid off and all news went through 4. Kind of like how 6 does the news for the Fox affiliate.

This also means that of the major broadcast stations here are owned by Nexstar (right-wing) or Sinclair (more right-wing).
