In my (completely biased!) opinion, the most important free speech issue in a democracy, is the right to vote. In particular, Black folks' right to vote in the US is very important for all humans. It determines whether or not fascists take over the most powerful military the world has ever known, and whether or not the world will take meaningful action on climate change.

But we all act like it's normal that half of the US government openly suppresses Black voting rights.
